I am nothing if not excessive!

Aren’t summer flowers wonderful?

Lilies just outside our front door.

I just love cosmos!

I've added Naga Kanya to my altar as well as a malachite ball and a few other stones. And I've removed Puck.

My Ostara altar in the foyer. Bubble soap and bubble pipe to the right, baby cup to the left. Gold on one side to honor the sun, silver on the other side to honor the moon. Baby chicks and eggs in a basket to honor new life. And daffodils because they're my faves!

Imbolc altar in the foyer
The Imbolc altar I set up for the ritual. Since it was a full moon that night I honored Mother Moon as well.

Our woods in October
A lady slipper I found in the woods near my circle. Isn't it lovely to see flowers in December?
Is this an amazing mushroom or what!

This is my recent foyer altar for autumn equinox.
The scale signifies balance, as does the equal proportion of silver
And gold, the colors of the sun and the moon.

This is my autumn equinox pentacle. It didn’t show up in the photo, but the bow is made of both silver and gold. I put silver roses on one side and gold ones on the other

This is the pentacle on the front door with the Halloween decoration.

Unfortunately, this photo came out darker than I’d hoped. The altar cloth
is beautiful with silver spiders all over the black velvet. And my lovely Crone
doesn’t show as well as I’d hoped. Her cauldron of grapes and nuts has all but disappeared as well. But nobody has ever accused me of being a good photographer.
I’ll take another shot and hope it turns out better. But be patient. I don’t use a digital
Camera, so it will take some time to use up the film and get it developed.

I know this is not an altar, but, like Emily Dickinson, I find mushrooms fascinating.
The mushroom is the elf of plants,
At evening it is not;
At morning in a truffled hut
It stops upon a spot
As if it tarried always;
And yet its whole career
Is shorter than a snake’s delay,
And fleeter than a tare.
- Emily Dickinson

Not an altar? Is there anything that can fill a person with more awe than the beauty of autumn? This is our house during the glory days of October.
This is my beautiful Crone. A lovely lady made her for me several years ago, and I have treasured her ever since.
Here she is at a dark moon ritual to honor the Crones.

A full moon ritual out in the woods.
A ritual of dedication to Sarasvati.
The same ritual after dark.

Lammas Altar
This is my Lammas Altar full of cat toys and photos of the kitties. Though I thank my cats every day for being part of my life, it is a special treat to honor them at the Lamas ritual each year.

Lammas Altar in Foyer
I like to make an altar each month in my foyer as a way of welcoming guests into my magical home. This is my Lammas altar on the antique pie safe we show off in the foyer. I also enjoy having our wedding photos and the photos of our parents on the altar. Some witches believe that altars should be separate from everyday life. But I feel that including our parents on the altars is a good way to share with them the pleasures that each turn of the wheel brings.

Lady of the Oaks
The Lady of the Oaks on my bedroom wall. I bought her at a local arts festival.
I like to decorate my pentacle on the door between the foyer and the living room. This is my pentacle for Fall Equinox, a time to rejoice in the bounty Mother has given us. (It’s a glass door, so you’re seeing the living room lamps in the lower right.)
